The Caswell Vlachos Group is constantly talking with business owners who are considering the sale of their businesses and prospective acquirers, including individuals, private equity groups and strategic buyers, which are seeking new business opportunities. Sometimes these informal discussions result in expedited sale transactions. Current discussions underway:
  • Pending new potential client opportunites - CVG is in active discussions with several potential new clients and expects to be adding 2 or 3 interesting new businesses the next 1 to 4 months.  
  • Strong buyer demand - Though not necessarily reflective of the overall M&A market, we are experiencing the strongest buyer demand we have seen since at least 2007, particularly from private equity groups and individual owner/operators. 
  • Lumberyards/Building Materials - As a result of its extensive work in the building materials industry, CVG is in constant in contact with prospective buyers (as well as sellers) of lumberyards, building products manufacturers and distributors seeking opportunities in the Northeast. 
  • Seeking manufacturers - CVG has established working relationships with several private equity groups seeking manufacturing operations with $10-$30 million in revenue, with growth potential.
